New Mexico is a Small Business State.

There are over 150,000 businesses in New Mexico and the vast majority of them are small businesses. Small business make up 99% of all New Mexico Businesses and employs 54% of all New Mexico Employees.  WeConnectNM believes that small business is the heartbeat of our economy.

We must invest in our New Mexico companies.

WeConnectNM believes that local entrepreneurs drive economies. We believe that local entrepreneurs create the companies that bring new wealth and economic growth to a region in the form of jobs, increased revenues, and a thriving business sector. We believe that by supporting local New Mexico entrepreneurs by connecting them to resources, encouraging the development of essential infrastructure and providing/creating incentives designed to support local companies, New Mexico’s economy will grow from within.

We must do this together.

New Mexico suffers from a lack of industry and investment/venture capital and, as a result, there are very few opportunities for our local companies to grow. It is this lack of opportunity that holds many of our home grown businesses back from significant growth and expansion. New Mexico small businesses are some of the most talented, agile, adaptable, and professional companies in the world. All they need is the opportunity to showcase what they can do. That’s where we must all work together to create more opportunities for our local businesses. Both the public and private sectors must become jealous for our local companies and connect them with the opportunity to do the job…but how?

New Mexico small businesses are some of the most talented, agile, adaptable, and professional companies in the world. All they need is the opportunity to showcase what they can do.
